Robin The Racoon

"Roll, roll, roll your boat,

"Hey pretty lady, how about opening this door here...?"
View all 10 photos...
If you haven't met Robin, you_just_have_to!!

He sits by the window of Scales & Tails in a clean white cage and constantly gnaws on a poor mangled ball, awaiting for the next person to come through the door and fall in love with his charms. He's handsome, cuddly, mischievious, and has the most adorable puppy-lovey-dovey eyes. And he'll show you how strong and flexible he is! He can scale the cage, he can roll over his head like a ball, and he loves to touch people. And he's a raccoon of few words too, choosing to express himself through his energetic and sometimes clumsy ways. He'll steal your heart and you'd be swept off your feet.

Now... if only I were a raccoon! Tee hee.

Note: Scales & Tails is located in Alam Suria (or something like that), the junction before heading towards Kelana Jaya LRT station from Sunway.

At the 1st glance i thought it was some sort of snake/sperm, but that's jst me and my head (sorry), didn't realise it was a showerhead. I'm almost convinced that you love bathing in hot water. I know i do

This blog of yours should never be abandoned. It holds really good pics and stories. But then again, cultivate all your blogs. Mushrooms awaiting to be enjoyed by all.

Heheh. I have tons of photos to upload, I'll try to do it tomorrow (but apparently tomorrow never comes... hehehe).

Meanwhile, due to work-related purposes, I'm currently managing a story blog at http://kissstories.blogspot.com I know, lame name, but at least you know what's the general topic. Surprise, surprise, it ain't financial growth or managerial statistics. . Do drop by if you like to read.

Be back soon!

We Miss You, Igloo...

Err take picture? Urmmm dokay...
Ug?? Close up huh? Urmm dokay.. bur hurry up...
Stoned...
View all 11 photos...
Igloo appeared at our doorstep one afternoon after our classes. As we got down the car, suddenly a little white puppy came out from underneath of Yen Leng's car, tail wagging furiously, eyes frowning with its sad puppy eyes, and trails of excited pee. (Yes, puppies tend to unintentionally out of excitement or fear, just like us when we were younger haha)

She willingly came into our arms and we picked her up, wondering where she came from. Wag, wag, wag went her tail. We went in to get some food and water for her... and pretty soon she was making herself at home at our porch (while Bunju wondered who's here to challenge her territory) and resting contently under Jo's car. We put a box with old curtains outside to keep her warm during the nights. And she stayed one night.

And Vix named her *Igloo.

Igloo stayed for the night, and Bunju accepted her into the house quite well. They played, and we've never seen Bunju happier (except when there are JerHigh sausages!). Igloo was a little less than half the size of Bunju, and she would playfully bite at Bunju's legs while Bunju would nibble at Igloo's floppy, light brown ears. We think we've seen Igloo in our neighbour's backyard before, so we took Igloo to that house and asked the lady if this dog belonged to her. She shook her head and closed the door, and we noticed the empty dog leash in her porch. Sigh.

For the next few days, Igloo came in and out of our house compound. Sometimes during the afternoons when we were all out for class, she'd go out too, and come back in the evening. Once she even followed Yen Leng to the opposite photostat shop, and waited for her outside the shop, and when Yeng Leng was done, Igloo walked her back to the house. What a sweetie!

Well, one day Igloo didn't come home. As we called out her name and looked around our neighbors' compounds for her, ther was no response. And for almost a week, she was gone. We were pretty sure that her real owner had finally found their missing dog and taken her home, or someone else decided to take her into their house. Still, we missed little Igloo...

BUT one day as I was getting out of the car, I saw Igloo! She was a few doors down, sniffing something on the road. I called out "IGLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" and she looked up at me and started running towards me as her tail wagged excitedly. I carried her in my arms and she smelt stinky, but who cares??? We missed her so much!

Previously we kept her in the porch because we thought perhaps someone *did* lose their puppy and Igloo couldn't find her way home... so maybe if her owner was to look for her and see her in our porch, they would be reunited. But after almost 2 weeks and no claims, we decided to keep her in the house with Bunju (more nibbling of lanky legs and floppy ears). Both of the them were always so occupied with wrestling with each other on the couch, and the only way you could get their attention was to whip out some treats. Heh heh.

Then we begin to think of Igloo's life after we graduate and move out of this house. Sadly, none of us could keep her We asked our friends if anyone would want to adopt a darling, good mannered puppy. We figured we had to give her away as soon as possible because we were beginning to get really attached to that little heartbreaker. Finally, one day a girl messaged me and said she was interested to adopt Igloo because her family dog ran away and never came back. So she came over and saw Igloo. A day later she messaged me again and said "Sorry, I can't take Igloo, my dad says we have no time to take care of a dog right now."

Sigh.

Then one fateful Friday, we asked our friends Abs and Sujen (who are also doglovers) to babysit Igloo at their place for the weekend coz none of us will be around and Bunju will be sent to my parents. From the moment Abs and Sujen stepped into our house, Bunju started going beserk, barking wildly at them. Perhaps she sensed that something bad was going to happen. When Igloo went up to Sujen and happily jumped around him (I believe dogs know whenever they see a doglover around), Bunju's expression begin to change, her brows furrowed in confusion. Then as Abs picked Igloo up and the three of them headed to the car, Bunju whined furiously with her head stuck out of the grill. "Where are you taking her???? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!"

They waved from the car, and the car drove off. Bunju just stood there, frozen in disbelief. For what seemed like eternity, she stood there, looking out into the empty driveway, as if she found what happened in the last few minutes terribly hard to comprehend. Then she silently retreated to her privacy under the couch and stayed there for the whole night, not even coming out for dinner. We told Bunju it's nothing really, you will see Igloo again on Sunday, ok?

We were wrong. Sujen's friend saw Igloo and expressed his/her interest in adopting her. As hard as it was, we gave the green light-- at least there was a home for little Igloo. And so on that Friday, without us knowing, was the last time we'll ever see Igloo again. She was one of the most gentle, good-natured puppy we've ever met. And she has this funny way of sulking-- she'll face herself to the wall, showing her back to us, and just stare up the wall with a pouty face. Hehe. Sigh.

We miss you, Igloo... a lot! Hope you're happy where you are now...
